Sessions

Rope can look many ways. A session can be a moving mediation, with the rope creating a variety of sensations to bring you into your body. For others, it’s a means of exploring trust, surrender, and release. For others still, rope is connected to their erotic core.

A single session can include moments of introspection and somatic processing, pleasurable pressure sensations akin to massage, and intentional high-intensity sensations. We can explore potentially uncomfortable emotions such as shame, alongside laughter and silliness. Any and all of what you bring to a session is welcome.

1 - A phone chat

Every session starts with a free 20-minute call. I’ll ask you about what draws you here and tell you a bit about what you can expect. We decide together if it's a good fit.

2 - Arrival and conversation

Each session starts with a long conversation. We talk about your interests, desires, anxieties, and whatever else is alive for you that day. We decide what the session will look like together.

3 - The session

I bring extensive anatomical knowledge, movement literacy, and a trauma-aware approach. We can stop, restart, and change the plan at any time. We go at your pace!

4 - Debrief and aftercare

A soft landing is important! When the rope comes off, I’ll offer you a cozy blanket and some snacks. We’ll take time to discuss what came up — what surprised you and what you're sitting with.

  • Full-coverage underwear or anything you'd wear to a yoga class. Whatever lets you move.

  • Tea, snacks, blankets, and a cozy space full of soft things. Bring warm layers if you run cold.

  • These sessions are not pro-domme experiences and do not include explicit power exchange or any sort of sexual touch.

  • The free call exists so we can both do a vibe check. Mutual comfort is essential. I reserve the right to decline sessions that feel misaligned, and I encourage you to do the same.

  • A first session lasts 2.5 - 3 hours and costs $400.

Many clients come regularly. Sessions for returning clients are a bit shorter as we don’t need as much time to get acquainted, and discounts are offered for people building a sustained shibari practice.

    Single session- $240

    3 sessions- $660

    5 sessions- $1,000

For groups of 2–4 with multiple people being tied, send me an email to inquire about duration and costs. Want to give a session as a gift? Email me to purchase a gift certificate!

Couples Shibari

Bring your partner to a session! Having your partner bear witness can help you to feel safe enough to relax and enjoy the experience more fully than if you came solo. Gifting a session to a partner can be a sweet way to affirm a longstanding desire or curiosity of theirs. Couples consistently tell me it's one of the most intimate experiences they've had together.

The person being tied
Just as described above, all of your motivations for being tied are welcome here. Being witnessed in rope is an intention all its own, though — and here you have a chance to be held by the rope and by your partner's attention at the same time.

The witnessing partner
There is nothing passive about this role. Be a familiar nervous system in the room for your partner to anchor to throughout, and be part of their soft landing when they finish. Watching someone be tied is a special way to offer adoration.

The arc for a couples session is the same as a solo session: conversation, rope, aftercare, and debrief. Same pricing: $400 for the first visit. I’m happy to arrange for date-night fixings to be a part of the evening at cost, so if there is a favorite snack, bottle of wine, or takeout order that would make the night special, tell me about it in our call.

LEarn

I’m available for private and small group lessons, both in-person and virtually. I’ll support you with proper safety information and good technical skills. And I’ll help you explore the special qualities that draw people to rope, when they could easily find less complicated restraints at the local hardware store.

Rope bondage is just as much about the human experience of tying and being tied as it is the final position. It’s a “journey as destination” sort of thing. It’s also frustrating and fiddly and good at robbing newbies of their confidence. I’m here to ease the frustration and fiddling while offering you pathways to play at all levels. The following is a non-exhaustive list of topics we can cover:

For riggers (people who tie)

  • Beginner techniques through transitional suspension

  • Confidence with improvisation

  • Harness troubleshooting and customization

  • Learning to see anatomy and tie your partner, not a pattern

  • Consults for tying curriculum development

For rope bottoms (people who get tied)

  • Identifying what you want and effective communication with the person tying you

  • Body awareness and differentiating good vs. bad pain

  • Harness troubleshooting and customization

  • Bottom-lead rope experiences

  • Consults for bottoming curriculum development

  • I require a 2-hour minimum for each lesson, with pricing as follows:

    • $100 per hour for individuals and couples

    • $150 per hour for groups of 3 to 4

If you’re traveling a distance and wanting to book a full day or weekend of lessons, I offer discounted rates for lessons running more than 4 hours.

If you don’t have a tying partner, I may be able to arrange for an experienced bottom to join our lesson for an extra fee.

No partner?
I can sometimes arrange for an experienced bottom to join your lesson for an additional fee.

Rope?
Bring your own if you have it (jute or hemp is ideal). I have loaner rope for lessons and rope for purchase in the studio.
